Question Using government like a drug

Americans are dependent on government as never before, now taking more from government than they paid in taxes. We've all seen the areas that government has taken yet more new roles or bigger roles that I don't think we need to go over it more.

This is of course not sustainable.
Is this not like using government as a drug, where we become dependent on it for everything, where the dependence only grows, where promises of relieving short term paid are all that is considered without thinking of the long term dependence that will be so hard to undo? Whether it is getting people dependent on yet more government healthcare, getting them dependent on government paid college education, on more government unemployment, government handouts/bailouts and so on.

Doesn't any lefty with even a trace of honesty on here ever feel any trepidation about that, (I 'm talking to you Alex, Lorax, Watermark, Apple, ZappasGuitar, Dungheap) (not Cypress and Ib1yysguy)? Don't you worry even a little about how people are becoming more dependent on government, doesn't it bother you or make you uneasy at all how many of your countrymen who were formally largely decently self-dependent are now going to be dependent on government possibly forever? How you can stop that dependence from growing?

And watermark when you answer this, don't just do your expected 'no' to try and shock, actually consider it and really think about what you are doing long term.

"To argue against any breach of liberty from the ill use that may be made of it, is to argue against liberty itself, since all is capable of being abused." – Lord George Lyttleton (1709-1773)

Their goal is destruction of the US as we know it, dumping the Constitutional Republic for some sort of European socialist democracy. Don't expect an honest answer out of any of these libtards.

All? No, I'm not an anarchist. But I am pretty self sufficient as is.

a government big enough to give you everything is also big enough to take it away.
A sad commentary on we, as a people, and our viewpoint of our freedom can be summed up like this. We have liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans, yet those very people look at Constitutionalists as radical and extreme.................so those liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans must believe that the constitution is radical and extreme.
