Default Spending freeze during a recession?

Seriously who thinks that is a good idea?

spending freezes will do nothing during a recession except maybe strengthen the dollar some. the only thing that gets you out of a recession is allowing people to keep more of their money by cutting their taxes.

I can disagree on some things and still vote for the rat.

Every economist Ive heard of says that is a stupid idea. The largest consumer is the government and if they have a spending freeze it worsens the recession.

depends on where the spend goes. I think its good if its non productive costs.
Q: Senator Obama, would you take the same pledge? No tax increases on people under $250,000?

OBAMA: I not only have pledged not to raise their taxes, I've been the first candidate in this race to specifically say I would cut their taxes.

OMG... This gets more and more funny every day!

Now the pinheads are upset with Obama because he is going rogue! Contradicting their bird-brained notions and economic theories that you can spend your way out of debt and into prosperity! This must be a terrible blow to the Obama worshipers!

....good enough to make the sig! Well said, pinhead!

no im saying cut that.. example of non productive cost. I wouldn't cut defense spending tho as it funds engineering firms that create jobs.

It'll turn on a dime and you'll be getting double digit annual increases soon.
