I'm at a friend's house chillin' and I am quite drunk. So ask me anything.

What is the square root of negative 1?
Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but rather we have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.

Believe nothing on the faith of traditions, even though they have been held in honor for many generations and in diverse places. Do not believe a thing because many people speak of it. Do not believe on the faith of the sages of the past. Do not believe what you yourself have imagined, persuading yourself that a God inspires you. Believe nothing on the sole authority of your masters and priests. After examination, believe what you yourself have tested and found to be reasonable, and conform your conduct thereto.

Imaginary +/-1? I think that root -1 is an imaginary number, yes?.

Granted, this is after a glass and a half of Shiraz, over my limit.
My goal in life is to be as good a person as my dog thinks I am.

Yeah, it's an imaginary number, but we used it in equations and stuff...

To make it clearer, the square root of negative one is imaginary and represented mathematically by i. When coupled with a real number you then have a complex number of the form a + bi. Calculations can then be done and equations can then be solved. This is used quite a bit in the electrical field with AC circuits and such. There are plenty of other uses but you'd better be able to explain some if your gonna teach it.
