Maybe if Obama starts to package it a little differently the stupid republicans will see this nightmare for what it is. Maybe O should call it the War on Unemployment or the anti-Terror of bankrupcty act. Warmongering seems to be teh only thing they are willing to throw money at.

Maybe the anti-Immigration of Brokeness act?

Immie, they were trying to stop needless wars and deregulation which caused this whole mess.

They were right and the Rs are now reduced to the insane partisans who will drive the stake into the heart of the R party if not stopped.

Sorry, Desh, but your beliefs in the infallibility of Democrats is naive at best.

Desh, what deregulation was passed during the Bush years that caused this whole mess? We already know they passed Sarbenes-Oxley which added all kinds of NEW regulations. What deregulation was passed?

And assuming you don't believe Afghanistan was a needless war what policies were passed as a result of the Iraq War that you feel led to this financial meltdown?

it was not the amount of deregulation but the studied lack of oversight by bushco

the iraq war never should have happened and led to an immediate out of pocket over $1,000,000,000,000.00 with a commitment of over $2,000,000,000,000.00 to take care of the troops, restore expended equipment and cleaning up the mess - if we had left iraq alone and concentrated on afghanistan maybe we would not have had such a resurgence of the taliban and strenghtening of al qaeda

now we have a mess in afghanistan to clean up

Did I misread what Desh said? Did she not say DEREGULATION? Hence the question. Don't be afraid to call out one of your own DQ.

the greed that led to the meltdown was typical of the dark forces called investment bankers

however, the lack of money that exacerbated the meltdown can be laid at bushco's feet

yep, she said deregulation, but i paraphrased it as lack of oversight

regulations do no good if the regulators look the other way or are asleep...

sorry evince/desh, but bushco/congress did not do more deregulation dejure, but bushco did defacto

I would say that is all in how you look at them.

I would also say that they are in league with the Reps and just as corrupt as the Reps and they should all be sent home in disgrace for what they have done to this country.
