    Default dems vs reps

    dems the party of hope

    reps the party of nope

it seems the best the reps can do lately is to try to form a coalition of no to just about everything bho tries to do

in ca, they would rather bankrupt the state than break ranks - even arnie baby has admitted that they cannot fix the budget deficit without raising taxes, but the reps deny this concept

seems that the reps have not grasped the reality of losing the election and have become the party of no - they want to continue the failed politics of cutting taxes that got us into this mess in the first place - i a, sure that the reps/cons will deny this but...wth

idiocy, on your part. and alot of misinformation as well. but way to go leaving out half the story in order to slant/style your viewpoint. props

He has a point though. The whole housing meltdown and subsequent banking failures came about because people were not paying enough in taxes. Had we kept taxes higher this would not have happened.

please elaborate. I've got to hear how people who couldn't afford to pay their mortgages, and other loans, would suddenly be able to pay them now that the taxes on their payments and loans would be more.

    DQ,

Is it any different today than it was in the early Bush 2 years? If I remember correctly the Dems were trying to filibuster nominees and basically just stifling everything they could.

Also, it wasn't the cutting taxes that was the problem. It was the cutting taxes AND increasing spending like a premonition of Barack Obama.

Here's to the end of our two leading "tyrannical" political parties and the restoration of our government of the people, by the people, for the people.

may i suggest that you provide the part i left out

tax cuts for the middle class were promised and delivered, but i do not think that tax cuts work

oat, can the feds do anything that will work

as for the ca legislature, TANSTAFL, i do not think that balancing the budget with cuts and no new taxes will work - especially the cuts in primary, secondary and advanced education - the bane of the conservatives who want to reserve education for the privileged only

Oh no homeboy, your wish will come true and you will pay more taxes DQ. Its a beautiful thing because the good lord knows our fine state has not wasted any of our tax dollars and thus they need to raise our taxes. God bless our legislatures because I know they have our best interest at heart and would not spend more than is necessary because they want to keep their jobs. Well done DQ.

    oh well

The problem is that the Reps have made tax cutting an irrational mindless ideology.

Excessive progressive taxation hurts the economy and is disincentivizing to our most productive people. This is true and a balance must be reached.

But this idelogical "Tax Cuts are the Solution to Everyting" is just mindless fanaticism. Republicans are making caricatures of themselves.

"Hurricane Devastates Guld Coast" Republican solution? Cut Taxes

Terrorst fly jet plane into sky scrapper. Republican solution? Cut taxes.

Banks collapse due to greed and incompetence. Republican solution? Cut taxes.

Our schools are failing in science, math and languages. Republcian solution? Cut taxex?

It's there solution to everything.....its become a comical parody.

The only thing the republicans are bringing to the table is "more tax cuts more tax cuts more tax cuts" which translates to: More Bushism, more Bushism, more Bushism. How in the hell is giving people a tax cut on their soon to be running out unemployment going to stimulate the economy?

Maybe if Obama starts to package it a little differently the stupid republicans will see this nightmare for what it is. Maybe O should call it the War on Unemployment or the anti-Terror of bankrupcty act. Warmongering seems to be teh only thing they are willing to throw money at.
