you can't eliminate all federal gun regulations.
You can't have any and all civilians have any type of military weapon they want and carry them anywhere at any time. We tried that once...it was called the Wild West. How'd that work out?
It will take another century or so for America to resolve all it's racial, ethical, sexual, religious, caste & class issues to become homogenous enough to have adequate policing and gun owner ship rules that make everyone safe and happy.....if we as a country last that long.

There are very few "good guy with a gun" incidents like the one you're celebrating. There are many more school shootings as a result of too many military weapons on the street.
