And so it begins: open Civil War has broken out in the GOP

The divided GOP, I think the probability of that increases. Cheney Republicans will vote for a Democrats instead of Trumpublicans. This divide is bad for the GOP, it serves the Democrats.

Hold on - Cheney Republicans are never going to vote for a Democrat, so don't pin your hopes on that.

What they will do is just not vote. That's what we want from them; a commitment to stay at home until the GOP gets their act together.

We don't need to include Liz Cheney in our tent.

Lindsay Graham agrees - GOP to split right down the middle if Trumpism ditched

Graham insisted that “Trump plus” is the future for the GOP, and getting rid of him would only hurt the party:

“If you try to drive him out of the Republican party, half the people will leave. It doesn’t mean you can’t criticize the president. It means the Republican party cannot go forward withident Trump being part of it.”out President Trump being part of it.”

the party must choose between Lady Fingers and sanity...........they're fucked because they're already batshit crazy

Hail King Trump..........and good luck morons!

GOP House Members 'Pissed Off' at McCarthy Over Cheney Fiasco: 'Weak Leadership'

One day ahead of the vote to oust one of their leaders from her position, a new report says there’s growing unrest in the ranks among the GOP House caucus over the whole episode.

According to Tuesday’s edition of Politico Playbook, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) is facing backlash from House Republicans for his push to oust Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) from leadership. Playbook reports that the move is being viewed by some GOP members (and not just moderate “Adam Kinzinger types,” Politico reports) as McCarthy throwing his own colleague to the “MAGA wolves” to secure the backing of former President Donald Trump in his potential bid for speaker in 2022.

“Kevin McCarthy has pissed off enough members of his own conference that he’s going to have to go back to his former days as a whip to try to figure out where his votes are [to become speaker],” an unnamed GOP member of Congress told Politico. The unidentified representative — whom Politico billed as a perceived McCarthy ally — added, “You have people like me — who are here to do the right thing for all the right reasons and have an expectation of leadership — that are, shall we say, disgusted with the internal squabbling that results from having weak leadership. And it is weak leadership. Straight up.”

A senior aide to a conservative GOP House member also told Politico that McCarthy’s back-and-forth on whether or not the former president is complicit in the Capitol riot.

Over 100 Republicans, including former officials, threaten to split from G.O.P.

More than 100 Republicans, including some former elected officials, are preparing to release a letter this week threatening to form a third party if the Republican Party does not make certain changes, according to an organizer of the effort.

The statement is expected to take aim at former President Donald J. Trump’s stranglehold on Republicans, which signatories to the document have deemed unconscionable.

“When in our democratic republic, forces of conspiracy, division, and despotism arise, it is the patriotic duty of citizens to act collectively in defense of liberty and justice,” reads the preamble to the full statement, which is expected to be released on Thursday.

The effort comes as House Republican leaders are expected on Wednesday to oust Representative Liz Cheney of Wyoming from their ranks because of her outspoken criticism of Mr. Trump’s election lies.

The list of people signing the statement includes former officials at both the state and national level who once were governors, members of Congress, ambassadors, cabinet secretaries, state legislators and Republican Party chairmen, Mr. Taylor said.

Mr. Taylor declined to name the signers. Reuters reported earlier that the former governors Tom Ridge of Pennsylvania and Christine Todd Whitman of New Jersey will sign it, as will former Transportation Secretary Mary E. Peters and former Representatives Charlie Dent of Pennsylvania, Barbara Comstock of Virginia, Reid Ribble of Wisconsin and Mickey Edwards of Oklahoma.

Mr. Taylor declined on Tuesday to reveal the specific changes that the coalition was planning to demand of the Republican Party in its statement.

“I’m still a Republican, but I’m hanging on by the skin of my teeth because how quickly the party has divorced itself from truth and reason,” Mr. Taylor said. “I’m one of those in the group that feels very strongly that if we can’t get the G.O.P. back to a rational party that supports free minds, free markets, and free people, I’m out and a lot of people are coming with me.”

I disagree, many crossed over to vote for Biden. If a Trumpublican wins a primary, they will vote Democrat. I have already seen a lot of them stating so on Twitter.

An added comment, not voting is also good for Democrats.

Ok, but just remember that they are Republicans and Conservatives, and both lie about everything all the time.

Wall Street. The federal reserve will most likely have to be dissolved. Economists and historians are predicting worse than 1929 with food riots and all. We could see a systemic collapse -- political, economic, and social.

That's why squabbling right vs left is counterproductive.

Really? Show me the Economists and historians who are predicting that. Because I think you're just bullshitting and fear mongering and most of us are smart enough to realize it. Save you Chicken Little Scare Tactics for another forum, Gomer.

She's fine where she is. She is still a ̶s̶e̶n̶a̶t̶o̶r̶ ̶ representative, and she will continue to speak up against the Cultists and their #MalignantMessiah.

We heard the exact same thing following the ARRA and then again in 2012 when the Bush Tax Cuts for the wealthy expired.

They just repeat the same stupid shit because they're not smart enough to come up with any other arguments.

Any real ones or just futurists and club of Rome nincompoops who have been predicting near term doom for 50 years? No? Thought not.
With a zero interest rate, endless quantitative easing, and 4 bailouts in 30 years, a chimp could keep the economy buoyant. No one can predict when a systemic collapse will come but all economists and historians know it's close. The federal reserve is insolvent. Who is going to bailout the fed? Not to mention the derivative debt.

She's fine where she is. She is still a senator, and she will continue to speak up against the Cultists and their #MalignantMessiah.

Well, she's a Congressperson, not Senator, who voted with Trump 3/4 of the time.

So she still believes plenty of lies, she just doesn't believe The Big Lie.

From my perspective, we don’t need Cheney and watered down republicans fucking up the Democratic Party anymore than it already is. Let them kill each other without putting democratic ideals at risk.

Republicans haven’t won the popular vote in 40 years. Why do we need them?

Cheney bears responsibility for the rise of trump and her own demise. Why would we invite that into the Democratic Party?
