Prediction thread....Impeachment.

I’ve never been convinced they will vote on impeachment.

Or put it this way: Democrats have good reason to NOT vote on it. What they will end up doing is anyone’s guess.

But they will look dumb if they don't take some action. Republicans will say, "see, we told you it was a waste of time" and he did nothing wrong and Democrats will be yelling and screaming that they want Trump punished for something he did (they are not particular what).

No. I predict they vote to impeach. Dims are so afflicted with TDS they actually believe this will hurt Trump.

I hope they do; because that way it goes to the Senate and the Senate can begin issuing subpoenas', call for Congress liberals to appear, and drag this out till the end of 2020.

Gee, that might upset some of the liberal Presidential candidates; because it might just interfere with their campaigns and some of the "revelations", regarding liberal members of Congress, will be public, along with what the liberal innuendo actually contains. :good4u:

But there are worse things than simply looking dumb lol.

Like losing the House; like who-knows-what could turn up in a Senate trial; losing the House AND the election. All because they are determined to try and bank one in from half court instead taking an easy shot in the paint [censure].

And it’s not like censure is meaningless: ‘see, even some of Trump’s fellow republicans voted to censure him...yada yada’. Democrats own most of the media so they would have plenty of help with the narrative built around censure. In a close election things like that could matter even more than Russians.

Maybe I’ll shut up before they start listening to me lol.

I have maintained for a long time but I believe the current scandal will result in impeachment, I simply didn’t agree to your artificial time frame. I note that you were no longer willing to express your position…

I have maintained for a long time that the legislative calendar in the House is fixed and set. The last day to hold a full floor vote in the House is December 12th. That isn't a made up date. I don't know if that can just be arbitrarily changed or not. Given the holidays and politicians propensity to want to leave DC, I would think not.

There is nothing "artificial" about my timeline. The legislative calendar IS the legislative calendar.

If they don't have a full House vote by December 12th (eight business days from now), then that pushes this all the way into January. I know you say you don't care about that, but I know six democrats running for President who do care about that. And I suspect that they would rather be out campaigning for their party nomination rather than stuck in the Senate during an impeachment trial.

But, hey if you think they won't care, who can question your judgement? When have you ever been wrong before?

So, what’s the point in democrats risking their House majority?

High-minded principle lol?

Why don’t democrats take the sure-shot censure vote and pick up some republicans? I can’t get a good answer for that.

1) Pointing out that what he did was unacceptable and for future presidents.
2) Marking in history the Republicans cowardliness..

If Trump would admit his mistake I’d be okay without the impeachment but it can’t be allowed to go on without someone saying it’s wrong and illegal.

You are still unwilling to predict? 8 business days are plenty and I think the impeachment will likely occur on or before the 12th.

You are so wimpy you won’t even reassert your prior prediction.

And once again, yawn, your accuracy of predictions would be zero. For the love of Neptune, you cannot even mistakenly be correct about anything.

Lol, you got that right. Remember "Mueller time", and, "the walls are closing in"? Lol, fucking losers.

I think it's pointless trying to predict how this will shake out when everything is unprecedented.

He did what many other Presidents have done. Held aid until he had assurances the aid would not be used in a corrupt manner. Joe Biden didn't. He held aid to get someone fired who was investigating a company his son was benefiting from. But in dimwit leftist land, that was A OK. ;)

2) Marking in history the Republicans cowardliness..

For doing what Democrats had already done during Clinton's impeachment? Did you denounce Democrats as cowards?

If Trump would admit his mistake I’d be okay without the impeachment but it can’t be allowed to go on without someone saying it’s wrong and illegal.

Trump doesn't give a shit about your opinion. You actually don't exist. You only exist here because it is a tiny little fishbowl.

Trump made no mistake he needs to apologize for. The Democratic Party of the Jackass are burning down the house over an election loss they can't get over; if anyone owes the American people an apology, it is them.
