They keep on saying that investors are good for the economy, but I see it as more people making money off the backs of the poor doing absolutely nothing!

They say most of the stocks are owed by less then 10% of the population. The other 90% have to pay for it.

The top 1% own 50.9% of all stocks. The next 9% own 39.4% of stocks. That's less then 9% for the rest of the 90% of the population. When stocks go up? Prices go up and who pays? The consumers. Its just another way for the rich to put their hands in our pockets!

Where do you think the profit from capital gains comes from? Is it not the consumer? These investors cause the prices of our products to go up. So basically they have passed their burden onto the consumer and tax payer!

When Investors invest in the stocks, there are more pigs eating off the backs of the consumer.

They notion that they create jobs is a? LIE! When they invest they fire people to increase their bottom line. Then the other lie that it is because of competition and prices comes down is another lie. Prices go up to appease the investors. And who pays? The consumer and the tax payer.

This is one of the biggest slight of hands transferring the money from workers, consumers, taxpayers and into the pockets of investors. Making the rich richer and the poor poorer

Really? LOL Last time I checked, the stock holders give me NOTHING.

Buy some stocks? No thanks, it is more like legalized gambling and the house always wins.

I want you address what was said in the OP, if your 2 braincells can comprehend.

Name a country and I will tell you. Most capitalist countries have a stock market(they are all in on the game). The ones that dont are colonies that are raped of their resources so most do not have a stock market or economy to invest in so they invest abroad.

You are using the internet and a PC, are you not? How do you think that companies like Cisco, Intel, AMD, ARM etc. would be able to produce hardware so cheaply without access to finance to expand?

The other 90% have to pay for it? No, the 10% pay for it, that's why they have stocks, because they paid to buy them, please try to keep up.

Of course the money from the profit goes to the guys who own the companies, why else would they own them?
Of course they want higher prices, they want to make money...
Of course they want to make their investors happy, those investors control parts of the company, they should get their share of it.

Now let's see about jobs, from my experiance companies don't want to fire people, they invested time and engery making those people good at what they do, the company wants to make its investment back with interest, they don't want to hire new people, those people wouldn't be as good at what they do. It's a pretty linear situation, companies want to make money, everything they do will be aimed at making money. The point of an economy is to make your money faster than the other guy makes his, not to go to your happy place and sing with little talking bears about how the company loves you.

End summation, stocks are just part of the economy now, and actually make it easier for smaller companies to get financing to grow.
